Video shows riders stranded 130 feet in air after coaster stops at Universal Studios Japan

Riding roller coasters is about the ups, downs and fast speeds that make for a daring adventure.

Despite the dreaded drop, no one expects to find themselves stuck 130 feet in the air on a ride that comes to an emergency stop.

On Thursday, 32 people who were onthe The Flying Dinosaur ride at Universal Studios Japan got stuck at the ride's highest point above ground, Japanese public media outlet NHK reported.

No one was injured, and the thrill-seekers were evacuated from the ride within 45 minutes, a spokesperson for Universal Studios told USA TODAY.

The Flying Dinosaur ride allows guests sit in a "prone, forward-facing position, which gives the sensation of flying," the spokesperson said.
